Jev vs Laya: what changes for job matching?
Both focus on structured decisions. The practical difference starts with how you integrate and operate them.
JevJob is being built around TypeSafe AI’s hosted Jev API. Laya is a future integration option. This page compares provider documentation; we have not run a controlled accuracy benchmark between them.
| Consideration | Jev | Laya |
|---|---|---|
| Integration | Hosted API with a server-side key | Open model weights and a Python SDK; a self-hosted HTTP server is documented |
| Output | Typed choices, scores and Noul decisions | Structured classification and scoring |
| Operations | TypeSafe operates model serving | A self-hosted integration requires your own serving infrastructure |
| Cost model | Provider API usage, plus your application costs | Hosting and operational costs; downloadable weights do not make serving free |
| In JevJob | Selected for the launch matching workflow | Not connected or offered as a selectable engine |

The model is one part of the workflow
For a job seeker, a useful comparison needs current job descriptions, correct text extraction, faithful quotes and clear uncertainty. Neither model supplies all of that by itself. JevJob combines a job source, an extraction step, a structured judgment and a report that you can inspect.
Which is more accurate?
We do not have evidence for a universal winner. A fair job-matching comparison would use the same resumes, job descriptions, requirements, evaluation rules and human review. Provider benchmark figures are not a substitute for that test.
